Children's Mental Health Week 2026

The official theme for Children's Mental Health Week 2026 is 'This is My Place'.
We know that our sense of belonging as individuals, in our friendships, in school, and in communities plays a vital role in our mental health and wellbeing.
To know our place and really feel part of our environment is a basic human need. It can have powerful and long-lasting impacts in lots of areas of our lives, including our physical and mental health, education, employment and relationships. When we feel that we belong, it empowers us to contribute to the world and make a real difference.
There will be lots of activities around the Academy to help support and raise awareness of mental health in school starting from Monday 9th February.
- Random acts of kindness for students and staff
- Wellbeing Wall display created from students' artwork, poetry, photographs and creative writing.
- Daily emails with Mental Health wellbeing tips.
- Students and staff are invited to wear one item of green as well as the normal uniform. A green ribbon is the international symbol of mental health awareness. This could be a scrunchie, socks, a ribbon, bracelet, T shirt or jumper. Please note this does not include footwear.
- CAMHS will be available during lunch time to introduce themselves to students.
And remember, you can always speak to member of staff with a red lanyard who will be happy to help or signpost you to somebody who can.
