UPDATE: If you have a child attending Summer School you are welcome to join us on the 24th August at 13:45 to watch the final presentation in the hall detailing what they have been doing with us! You can then leave with your child at 14:00.

The Samworth Church Academy is pleased announce that our Summer School is taking place on Monday 22^nd, Tuesday 23^rd and Wednesday 24^th August, and which has an overarching theme of ‘Healthy Living’ We would like to issue a warm welcome to everyone who has signed up! Students should arrive on site through the main entrance at 9.00am and leave through the same entrance at 2.00pm.

The 3 days will allow students to meet their new classmates while becoming familiar with the building and its staff.

Each morning students will be given a daily briefing and the opportunity to explore one of our five Academy values. They will move on to morning lessons, which will be our core subjects plus RS, IT and Dance.  

After lunch, students will be on rotation Monday to Wednesday to complete: Technology, Environmental Science and Performing Arts. The Performing Arts workshop will be delivered by the Mansfield Palace Theatre, who have kindly agreed to support us during this week.

On Wednesday afternoon, we would like to invite parents and carers to our showcase. This will allow students to share the excellent work they have completed during their time at Summer School.

We ask that students wear comfortable clothes and shoes suitable for dance and performing arts. Students should also bring a pen, pencil, rubber, ruler and any other stationary they wish to. Fruit and a drink will be available in the morning and a packed lunch will be provided also.
