The first is our Year 11 information evening on Thursday 19th December 2019 at 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm. Traditionally, this is a busy event so please ensure you arrive in good time to allow for parking and to be seated for the presentation which will start promptly at 6:00 pm.

At this event, we will explain about all the different support available to help your child with their important exam preparation this year. The Maths, English and Science departments will also be providing information to you about how they are going to ensure students make excellent progress this year. These members of staff will also have key preparation materials to give to students.

Furthermore, we would like to ensure that your child has the best general exam preparation possible so they can achieve and surpass their target grades. Therefore, the evening has been specifically designed for the parents/carers of all students. On Thursday 14th November, Year 11 students received two sessions on how to help them revise effectively. One session was on how to plan/organise revision, whilst the other looked at practical manageable strategies on how to revise. During the information evening we will share the information given to students during these sessions. This will also be an opportunity for parents to ask any questions around the process of revision.

We will give guidance and provide information about how to support, encourage and monitor your child’s progress throughout the course and especially the revision periods. Moreover, we will also provide information and advice on a range of revision support resources to help at home.
