This qualification trains you to pursue a career in the hairdressing industry. It prepares learners for a job in a salon. Students can advance onto an NVQ Level 3 course which will allow them to learn advanced techniques and business know how. These qualifications together with a few years’ experience could see students working on cruise liners, doing photo shoots, TV work, working for product manufacturers like L’Oreal or Wella.  Other pathways could be opening a business, working for City & Guilds or HABIA, writing text books or even teaching. There is always the chance to do NVQ level 4 and 5 which is equivalent to a university degree.
