As you read this message, you may well be in the middle of your preparations for Christmas. The shopping, the food prep, the logistics of getting everyone where they need to be and I for one love the busyness of it all. Juxtaposed to that is what we see and hear in the news, the divisive views, war and fighting and displaced people. Sometimes these things seem all encompassing and overwhelming.

In John’s Gospel we see Jesus described as a light to the world, a source of wisdom and truth that breaks into the darkness in a way that changed the world forever. For Christians all over the world in this season we take time to remember and celebrate this light.

I would like to encourage you to seek out the glimpses of light over this festive season, to reflect on what it is that brings you hope, direction, and clarity.

May God Bless you and your family and friends this Christmas and bring peace and hope to all.
