This is a relatively new course which is being offered to take advantage of the world class teaching kitchen facilities we have in the Academy. It is a level 2 qualification which will consist of 6 units for the BTEC First Diploma (equivalent to 4 GCSEs) and 3 of the units below for the BTEC First Certificate (equivalent to 2 GCSEs). The course has been designed by the catering and hospitality industry to help develop skills required for good customer relations as well as cookery and service skills for those wishing to enter the hospitality sector.
