Mr Simon Fletcher BA(Hons), PGCE
Vice Principal, Welbeck School of Outdoor Education, Performing Arts and Sport
Simon took up the post in January 2008 and is relishing the opportunity of working in an Academy that will put Sport, Outdoor Education and the Performing Arts so high in its priorities. He has eighteen years of teaching experience as well as working as a full-time coach, a personal trainer and playing semi-professional football. He joins us from The Thomas Deacon Academy in Peterborough where he was the Director of Sport delivering a high quality programme which was supplemented by over 400 fixtures in a wide range of sports.

Mr Hancock
As well as teaching Drama and Performing Arts, Mr Hancock is also Lead Teacher for Teaching and Learning in the Welbeck School.

Mr Bennett
Mr Bennett has joint responsibility between Welbeck and Sherwood Schools. In the Welbeck School he is the Curriculum Manager for PE whilst also being responsible for the Year 8 Rugby Team and the Year 11 Football Team.

Mr Bury
Mr Bury is the Leader Teacher 14 - 19. He ensures that students select the correct courses during the transition from Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 4 at GCSE Level and Key Stage 4 to Key Stage 5 at AS and A Level.

Miss Wrigley
Miss Wrigley is the Foundation Manager, responsible for ensuring a smooth transition from Year 6 to Year 7, the Year 7 Competency Curriculum Projects and planning the Aberdovey visit. Miss Wrigley also teaches Year 7 ICT, Girls' PE and baton twirling for the cheerleading activity group.

Mrs Rogers
Mrs Rogers is the Lead Teacher for Outdoor Education, organises trips to Hagg Farm, responsible for the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme and other outdoor activities.

Mr Battersby
Mr Battersby is a Music teacher, organises after school activities and is also the Tutor of Welbeck 5.
|

Mr Brook
Mr Brook is the Vice Principal for the Academy, Head of Achievement Services and Tutor of Welbeck 8.

Mr Roberts
Mr Roberts is the Academy Finance Manager and Tutor of Welbeck 9.
|

Mrs Barnes
Mrs Barnes is the main point of contact for the Welbeck Office as well as being the Tutor of Welbeck 7.
|

Mrs Sheppard
Mrs Sheppard is the Student Welfare Manager for Welbeck ensuring healthy links are maintained between Samworth Church Academy and the home life of our students. Mrs Sheppard also monitors the attendance of Welbeck students and any issues surrounding it.

Mr Hunt
Mr Hunt is the School Sports Co-ordinator liaising between the feeder schools and the Academy as well as being involved in all PE lessons. Mr Hunt also runs an after school Cricket Club on Mondays in the Sports Hall.

Miss Shaw
Miss Shaw is a Dance specialist, assists with the teaching of Drama and is the co-ordinator of the Wider Curricular Activities. Miss Shaw also assists Welbeck 6 tutor group.

Miss Lake
Miss Lake is a teacher of Dance and Drama as well as a tutor for the Welbeck School.
|

Mrs Goddard
Mrs Goddard is a member of the Welbeck team, supporting the PE Department.
|

Mrs Parkin
Mrs Parkin shares responsibility as the Welbeck 8 Tutor and is also an Achievement Assistant for the Academy, supporting mainly Year 7 students. Mrs Parkin also teaches numeracy to two Year 7 class.

Mrs Croteau
Mrs Croteau is the Tutor of Welbeck 3, an Achievement Assistant for the Academy and also runs a Harry Potter club.

|
Miss Hough
Miss Hough is responsible for supporting Welbeck 9 tutor group and assists English and Drama lessons. She also manages and coaches the Academy Choir.
