Nick Linney, Chair of Governors

Nick Linney is Chairman of W & J Linney Limited, a family business founded in 1851 by William Linney and now in its sixth generation. During those six generations the business has been involved in many activities and has retuned itself many times in order to serve ever-changing needs. W & J Linney has now evolved into Linney Group with an annual turnover of £50m and sees itself as a company that offers solutions in the marketing services fields – creative, print procurement, document and data management, distribution and stock management. Nick’s hobbies include family businesses, tennis, golf, skiing and historic motor sport.

Gail Osborne, Parent Governor

Gail is an ex Sherwood Hall Grammar School student and has worked for the Benefits Agency from 1979 until 2000 as an Executive Officer.  For the past 7 years Gail has been employed by Notts County Council for the School Meals Service.  She has two daughters at Samworth Church Academy in Years 7 and 10.  Gail is also a Governor at Berry Hill Primary School.  She intends to bring to her role parental input, commitment, support and to share the ethos and vision statement of the Samworth Church Academy.
