Mrs Melanie Cooper BEd, NPQH
Vice Principal, Newstead School of Communication

Melanie joined Sherwood Hall School as Head of Year in September 2001, on the reorganisation of Mansfield Schools. She later took up the role of Key Stage Leader and was appointed to the Senior Leadership Team in January 2007. Prior to joining Sherwood Hall School she was Head of Year and Lead Teacher of Art at Windmill Ridge Middle School, Mansfield. After graduating from Birmingham University in 1979 with a BEd in Art and Design with French as a second subject, she originally taught all subjects at Key Stage 2 at Berry Hill Middle School, Mansfield. She later gained promotion to the post of Head of Art at the same school. Melanie has taught Art from KS2 through to KS5 and English and French at KS2 and 3.

Mrs M Fletcher is the Curriculum Manager for Art and also Tutor of group 12N.

Miss L Demian is a Teacher of Art and Tutor of 11N.

Miss K Millhouse is a Teacher of Art and Tutor of 3N.

Mrs S Hassall is the Lead Teacher of English and also Tutor of group 5N.

Mrs J Grainger is a Teacher of English and Tutor of group 1N.

Mrs H Neea is a Teacher of English and Tutor of group 8N.

Miss A Cohen is a Teacher of English and Tutor of group 4N.

Mrs A Gyte is a Teacher of Media Studies and also Tutor of group 9N.

Miss L Bell is a Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages as well as being the Tutor of group 10N.

Mrs J Rusk is a Curriculum Manager for the Newstead School and Tutor of 2N.

Mrs L Armstrong is a Classroom Assistant as well as a Tutor for group 6N.
